Since all Kooka Bay airmats are hand made we can offer custom
designs at little or no extra cost. The shape, length, width, thickness
and warmth can all be made to order. Here is what we will need
from you.
Length: From 0 to infinity with 1" increments
Width: 20-50" with 2" increments
Thickness: 2.5" or 3.5" Thickness makes little difference in weight.
Shape: Rectangular, Mummy or your own drawing or dimensions
Insulation: 800-900 FP Goose Down or Climashield Apex Synthetic. R values for Goose Down starts at R6 and R3 for Apex.
Construction: Sealed through or Box style. Unless otherwise specified all uninsulated airmats use sealed through construction and all insulated airmats use the box style.
Sealed Through is less expensive, has less volume to inflate and is very light weight.
Box style construction uses more material but allows us to use a 30d ripstop for the internal structure. The result is a lighter airmat with no cold spots when insulation is used.
